The Stolen Golf Cart
Have you ever almost gotten into the wrong vehicle before?
Well that ACTUALLY happened at a wedding I was shooting the other day.
I was at the Hotel Dell Coronado taking some pre wedding photos with the bride and groom when the groom left to go pick up our ride to make it to the wedding.
We werne’t traveling too far so we were going to take a golf cart to drive to the boat for the ceremony and reception (being a Yacht wedding)..
And what do you know, he pulled up to the curb to pick us up and the bride noticed something…
The golf cart was missing the wedding decoration that had been on the night before.
She asked, “where are the decorations honey?”
He said, “ I thought you pulled them off?”
and just then IT HIT HER…..
IT WAS THE WRONG GOLF CART!!!
The groom picked up and nearly stole the wrong gold cart and had to hurry back to pick up the right one!
So there we were, standing on the curb once agin as he left to go track down the correct gold cart.
And as we glanced at the time and we were already late….oh no!!
“Everyone would be waiting for us” the bride thought.
And as her anxiety begin to rise, I reminded her that it was “HER day”, and there was no need to stress.
So instead of dwelling on the fact of the possibility of being late, we shifted the conversation to joking that we nearly “stole” a golf cart.
So when it comes to hiring a photographer for your wedding, make sure you select someone that eases your stress when things get up tight.
Because the last thing you want is someone who doesn’t know how to stay cool under pressure.
Do you agree with me?
If so, book a call with me here to see if us working together would be a good fit!
