Slinging Grub

This guys back was in bad shape!!

It was after the ceremony during the reception, we were we done taking all the major photos and it was the time of food service.

As I was letting all the guest go first to get food, as I usually do, I noticed something….

One of the gentleman who was serving food had a bad back…

It was an older man who kept sitting down and standing up when people would come to go receive food. And every time he would get up he would hold his back with his hand.

You could certainly tell that this man was in some pain by his facial expressions.

So, what did I do?

I told him to go sit down for a little about, drink some water, and I will serve food for him for a little bit.

After some time serving food I went over to the bride and groom to ask them if they needed anything to drink and see how they were doing.

Well, apparently they noticed that I was serving food and asked me why I was doing that.

I told them the story of noticing the old mans back problem and that I choose to help him out while I wasn’t in any need of taking photos (since when everyone is eating during the reception is a time I usually pause to grab a bite to eat)

They thought this was such a kind gesture and that my act was noticed.

Now, I choose to do these things not for the external praise.

But to channel my inner heart of selfless service to make other people happy.

And when I have the ability to go above and beyond and serve in areas that I am needed and certainly not expected, I will.

I believe a true professional should be someone like that.

Someone who serves selflessly from the heart and is always willing to go the extra mile.

Do you agree with me?

If so, let’s have a chat on the phone and see if I am still avaliable to shoot your wedding.

I look forward to chatting,

Jillian
